Types of Flowers – Fresh vs Faux

 1.    Fresh Cut Flowers

Cut flowers are flowers and flower buds that have been cut from the plant bearing it.

⁃    They are fresh and arranged in water.
⁃    Typical life of a fresh cut flower is 10-14 days depending on the type of flower and how they are cared for.
⁃    Bouquets are usually priced from N50k and more.
⁃    They have a natural floral smell and some of them have nice fragrances.
⁃    They bloom and eventually die whether or not they are cared for. They have a life span.

    2.    Faux/ Artifical Flowers

They are not fresh flowers but artificial, silk or paper flowers. They sometimes appear to look real in pictures or videos, so make sure to ask when buying flowers.

⁃    They do not require water in the vase if arranged in a vase.
⁃    Depending on the quality of flowers, they last months and even years.
⁃    Bouquets are usually more affordable than fresh cut flowers.
⁃    They do not have a smell but you can spray perfume on them.
    ⁃    They do not bloom.
